Dual Cab Utes have always been in tough competition, however, large pick ups are becoming ‘so hot right now’ in this day and age.

The Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) production line located in Melbourne are still in operation! At the moment, they are working hard in converting the new pick up Chevrolet Silverado 1500 V8 petrol from left drive to right. This new large pickup model has made its debut in Australia starting from $113,990 plus on road costs. This price is costlier than its rival, the RAM 1500 V8 pickup by around $34,000.

Holden Special Vehicles has stated that the higher price is due to the currency exchange rate and RAM Australia will also be increasing their prices for the same reason.

Hefty pickups are becoming more popular in Australia and the demand for them is rising. The RAM factory that converts these pickups to right hand drive are working around the clock to be able to fulfil their orders.

The first 80 Chevrolet Silverado units should be at Holden Participant dealerships by next week. The remaining 120 units will be finalized and ready for customers by the end of the first half of this year.

What To Ride mentioned in the latest car news that Holden will cease their operations in Australia by the end of this year, Holden Special Vehicles or what will be known as GMSV or General Motors Speciality Vehicles will continue converting these niche General Motors vehicles to suit the Australian Market.
