Hyundai is upping its SUV game to compete with its rivals in the growing demand for performance SUVs. The all new Hyundai Kona N is the first sport SUV for this world famous car brand and is a more athletic option than its brother- the compact SUV Kona.

This sport SUV has not yet been confirmed in Australia and Hyundai is yet to officially corroborate that this model even exists, but Hyundai Australia will unquestionably raise its hand for any right-hand drive of this sport SUV Kona N in the future! Nevertheless, according to reports, the Hyundai Kona N is indeed working on making its debut and is expected to follow the Hyundai i20 N within the next year. This bad boy will become the fourth N model in Hyundai showrooms.



Latest car news mentioned that the new Hyundai Kona N to posses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, the Hyundai Kona N will deliver 202kW of power via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will have the same engine as the hatchback i30 N.  Unfortunately, its not clear if Hyundai will produce a manual version.



The new sport SUV Hyundai Kona N will be using the Hyundai Kona as its base model with no fog lights at the front. There are intake holes for the turbo, giving the Hyundai Kona N that sporty vibe and will also retain red painted breaks. This sport SUV will also include All Wheel Drive to improve traction during different conditions on the roads.
