The latest car news from J.D. Power 2020 U.S. ranked Hyundai Tucson in the Initial Quality Study as the best compact SUV. Same goes for the Hyundai Veloster, which earned the highest score in the compact sporty car vehicle segment.

Hyundai’s other new cars also did well and were set in the podium ranks too, where Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Elantra were ranked second in new car sedan segments and Hyundai Santa Fe third.



This is indeed an achievement for Hyundai Motors which highlights the company’s dedication to developing their design, engineering, manufacturing, service and network team.

This study is based on 87,282 new car buyers and leasers of 2020 new car model year who were surveyed after 90 days of their ownership. This survey consisted of 223 questions which assessed infotainment; car features, controls and displays; exterior car design; driving assistance; interior; powertrain; seats and car driving experience.



Hyundai not only excelled in the value brand but also in the luxury brands. Genesis Motors is the luxury car division under Hyundai Motor Group with the Genesis coming in first in the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) among all premium new car brands. It is a phenomenal achievement to be named the top ranked premium car for four consecutive years and achieving a significantly higher score above other premium car brands.
